We currently just offer a postal delivery service within the United Kingdom but if you live outside the UK and would still like us to send some of our lovely things to you, please drop us an email (firstname.lastname@example.org) and we will get back to you as quickly as possible with costs and delivery times.
Items will usually be sent by second class post (unless you’re in a real hurry for gorgeousness!) and will need a signature so remember when giving us your address someone will need to be there.
Please check your delivery when it arrives and let us know within 2 days if any item has been damaged on its journey to you by emailing email@example.com or phoning the shop 01353 668564 (during COVID-19 restrictions 10am - 12 noon Monday to Saturday)
Delivery Costs within the UK
Free standard delivery for orders £50+
Standard delivery (3-5 working days): £3.95* for orders under £50
Express delivery (1-2 working days): £7.95
* a little note ... we realise that if you buy just a few cards, the postage doesn’t cost as much as £3.95 so we almost ALWAYS try and refund a little bit afterwards without being asked .. we try to be fair ☺️
We also offer a free local delivery service within 5(ish) miles radius of our shop in Ely plus Click & Collect (Local Pickup) from the shop (during COVID-19 restrictions Click & Collect available 10am-12noon Monday to Saturday)
We all change our minds sometimes …
You can return your purchase for any reason at any time within 1 month of purchase providing it is sent back to us with the invoice/receipt and is in its original condition and packaging if applicable. We’ll be more than happy to either exchange the item or offer you a full refund.
How to return
1.Please enclose the Eel Catcher’s Daughter invoice/receipt and mention your reason for return in the parcel
2.Please send the parcel to The Eel Catcher’s Daughter (RETURNS), 28b High Street, Ely, Cambridgeshire, CB7 4JU
3.Can we suggest that you send the returns by recorded post and hang onto your proof of postage. Returns (unless wrong item or faulty) to The Eel Catcher’s Daughter are at your own expense.
4.We’ll email you when your return has been processed and if you’d like a refund rather than an exchange, your refund should be with you 3 to 5 working days after this.
How to exchange
1.Exchange of goods (for example to change a size of clothing or colour of an item) will depend upon stock availability. If no exchange is available a full refund will be made.
2.Exchanges (unless wrong or faulty) are returned to The Eel Catcher’s Daughter at your own expense – however in the case of a faulty or wrong item, we will of course happily refund your second class returns postage and post a replacement at no further postage cost.
3.We will email you to confirm that your exchange has been processed and send a replacement to you within 3 to 5 working days depending on stock availability.
Cancelling an Order
If you want to cancel your order please let us know straight away by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org or phoning us at the shop 01353 668564 (9.30am – 5pm Monday to Saturday & 10.30am - 3.30pm on Sunday). If you cancel before we post your order, then we won’t usually have charged your card. If it has been charged then we will, of course, issue a full refund as soon as we can, usually 3-5 working days. We don't post at the weekend or on bank holidays and parcels won’t be delivered on Sundays or bank holidays.
If you cancel your order after it has been posted, we will refund the cost of the item but not the original delivery cost and you may also incur an additional return to sender fee if it is issued by the courier or postal service used for your delivery. This return to sender fee is usually the same cost as your original postage charge but it can vary.
In the case of a late cancellation we will refund you for the cancelled order minus the original delivery cost and return to sender fee once the cancelled order has arrived back at the shop and has been processed and checked. At this point we will email of the exact charges to be deducted from your refund to the email address that you supplied us with on your original order.
Please allow 3-5 working days for any refunds to be made to your account.
Only full priced items may be refunded unless faulty.
The Eel Catcher’s Daughter will always try and ensure that our website doesn’t have too many annoying problems and that goods displayed are actually available. However, as we’re also pretty busy in the shop and may have ‘borrowed’ something from the website stock and forgotten to update, we can’t always guarantee 100% perfection and very, very occasionally might have made a mistake. If that’s the case we will let you know as soon as we possibly can, apologise like mad and advise you as to when the item will be available again.
During exceptionally busy times, such as the launch of a catalogue or sale, there may be a slight delay in delivery.
Prices are as stated on the website and may change at any time without notice.
Colours on our website will vary slightly depending how your monitor is calibrated. We always do our very best to make sure all our images are true to the actual product you are purchasing, but we can't guarantee a perfect match every time.
All sizes and measurements are approximate. We always try to make sure they are as accurate as possible and will correct any errors quickly.
Your use of any information or materials on this website is entirely at your own risk, and therefore it is your own responsibility to ensure that any products, services or information available through this website meet your specific requirements.
